About Me
Kelly Turner a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kentucky. Kelly is a member of the Association of Play Therapy and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has a Master of Arts in Education degree from Western Kentucky University. Her training and experience equip her to help others in times of need; offering hope for the hurting.
Kelly graduated from Western Kentucky University (WKU) with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in psychology and sociology, in the early 1990's. After her husband died, she went back to WKU to become a counselor. She interned at a local hospice organization, learning about the grieving process. Using the choice theory in counseling people that are going through losses, she helps others recognize grief and learn ways to work through the grief. In addition, she has worked with children and families in a foster care setting and with at-risk children and their families. She is an advocate of strong marriages and families, and is certified through the Prepare/ Enrich program of pre-marital and marital counseling.
